If memory serves..Your reference is not posted of your picture on cover of Lawyrer...?The one laptop per child was the brainchild of ?...If you sent $200....A child would receive a free laptop in an undeveloped world and you would receive the second laptop for yourself.The idea of such a cheap laptop was &#039;stolen&#039; by one of the big companies to sell to the public...which they did. No charitible contrubution to anyone...ALL FOR ME...sound familiar. I don&#039;t know how it was finally settled and no time to do the research but laptops were sold to governments for very little money. My facts are not dead -on accurant but the gist is there. Would love to read YOUR take on the facts.These computers were small with limited memory and ran on batteries that could be recharged in the community.A fabulous idea especially for now. Its the leading edge. of tomorrow...needs more publicity.</description>
